JVN-LVCF POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants can choose to apply to either Master courses which organise and educate by JVN Institute:

– Master Degree in Computer Science – Information and Communication Technology, Data Analysis Science (ICT)

– Master Degree in Applied Mathematics, Quantitative and Computational Finance (QCF).

50% to 100% tuition fee for 2-year-study program at JVN Institute

– Starting day: from September 2018 to November 2020.

– Duration of the program: 2 years

– Number of scholarships: 05

The scholarship will be reconsidered each year in order to ensure transparency and fairness. Applicants who fail to achieve all the requirements of JVN and LVCF (academic performance, behavior, participation in LVCF’s activity, and English level) will not continue receiving the scholarship. During the time receiving the scholarship, applicants have to send their academic record periodically to The enrollment secretariat and the Fund Management Council

Applicants who meet all of these requirements can apply to JVN-LVCF Scholarship:

– Applicants who apply to 2 majors of JVN enrollment period in 2018.

– Being a citizen of Vietnam, living in Vietnam.

– Priority is given to candidates with excellent academic performance and / or difficult family circumstances.

For candidates who have applied to the first round of 2018: Applicants submit the following documents (other documents have been archived from the the last submission in July 2018):

  1. Scholarship application form:this form.
  2. 1 cover letter in English(no more than 1000 words, typed in Times New Roman font, size 12, must be signed, and include full name). In this letter, applicants should state (with no restrain) the main factors:

The requirements mentioned in JVN Institute’s records.

– Financial difficulties, the desire to receive JVN-LVCF scholarship and the reason why.

  1. A letter confirming difficult circumstances from the locality(if applicants are in difficult situation)

For candidates who enroll in the second round in 2018:

  1. Scholarship application form:This form.
  2. Application for Postgraduate program:Follow JVN Institute’s application form and guidance. Only submit one application for both admission process and JVN-LVCF scholarship enrollment. Exceptionally, for the study plan in this application, applicants should state clearly (with no restrain) the main factors:

– The requirements mentioned in JVN Institute’s records

– Financial difficulties, the desire to receive JVN-LVCF scholarship and the reason why.

  1. Certificates ofmerit, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, work experience (if any)
  2. A letter confirming difficult circumstances from the locality(if applicants are in difficult circumstances)

Note: Applicants should not the original forms, as the application will not be returned.

Applications for JVN Postgraduate program admissions are submitted at:

– Academic Affairs Room – John von Neumann Institute, Software Park, VNU-HCM, Quarter 6, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc District.

Scholarship application, copy of your cover letter and letter confirming difficult circumstances (if any) are submitted at:

– Step 1: Applicants submit their application as instructed above, JVN Institute recruits candidate according to announced criteria.

– Step 2: Selection Council interviews applicants who pass step 1.

– Step 3: Candidates who pass step 2 will receive JVN-LVCF scholarships at JVN.

For the aims of JVN-LVCF Scholarship, scholarships will be awarded to suitably qualified applicants, based on their abilities, academic achievements, work experience and their goals which meet all the requirements mentioned above. Scholarships are regardless of region, ethnicity, religion or gender. In particular, a successful applicant should at least:

– Meet the criteria of academic and experience required by JVN and LVCF.

– Show clearly, coherently your goals in learning and in their life.

– Express your effort and self-trial to achieve your goals.

– Demonstrate leadership and desire, ability to contribute to the community.

– Demonstrate family’s and / or their difficulties circumstances, and need support to continue pursue their education (in case the applicant needs financial aid).

– Demonstrated the desire to continue making effort during the scholarship, and later.
