Luong Van Can English Club organized the talkshow “Interdream”

On Sunday morning, February 24th, 2019, at Norfolk Hotel, Luong Van Can English Club (EC) held the talkshow “Interdream” with the attendance of nearly 20 students. This activity was a part of “Humans of Luong Van Can Fund” series, and the language used throughout the program was English. With the theme “Sharing global exchange experience”, the program invited two special guests: Ms. Ta Thi Thai Lien – mentor of the Fund and Le Thanh Dat – a scholar who partook in multitudinous exchange programs.

At the beginning, Ms. Lien inspired the students with her story of overcoming hardship and failure to study abroad as well as ways she adapted to a new environment. She advised all the students should apply boldly to as much exchange programs as they could as this would help strike a balance acquaintance. Additionally, making friends will help each international student expands the relationship as well as opening up numerous opportunities for acquiring valuable lessons.

Later, the two speakers continued to help LVCF’ students gain an insight into preparing for academic background or interview for short-term scholarships. The most important thing when completing the application form is sincerity. Moreover, we also need to read the requirements carefully to fully understand and make a list of relevant experiences. Based on his experiences in exchange programs in Taiwan and Malaysia, Mr. Dat encouraged the audience to flexibly adapt in foreign countries. in case of communication problems, maximisation of body language was of great essence. The talkshow atmostphere was exciting thanks to the funny stories from the guests.

The series of Interdream programs initiated by the EC not only motivated students of LVCF to enhance English proficiency but also stood to be the foundation for potential students to make the dream come true.
