On 3/10 and 10/10/2021, Luong Van Can Fund organized “Orientation Day” for students in the academic year 2021-2022. The annual program aimed to assist new students to understand  Luong Van Can Fund’s regulations and to recall activities in the last academic year.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the program was held via Zoom, with two separate sessions for new students and current students respectively. 

On Sunday morning, 03/10/2021, the first orientation session was held with over 100 students from all parts of Vietnam. Starting with the speech of Luong Van Can Fund Director, Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, the students were given insights into Vietnam’s situation after the Covid 19 outbreak in mid-2021. The Board of Moderation (BOM) of Luong Van Can Fund aims to help students embrace change, which is important for surmounting the challenges posed by Covid-19.

Mr Nguyen Trieu Trung, coordinator of Luong Van Can Fund, unveiled the tentative program for the new academic year. Besides annual activities, including the community project, training courses, the mentorship program, there will be an interesting project in the upcoming summer, 2022. This session ended with the briefing on modifications to the Evaluation Form, which is aligned with the academic performance of  Luong Van Can Fund students.  

Ms Thai Ho Thien Thanh, a member of Luong Van Can BoM, also provided updates on changes to English program, which would provide opportunities for those students who live outside Ho Chi Minh City to study at two prestigious English centres that are partners of Luong Van Can Fund. Luong Van Can Fund has also welcomed Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh Uyen to be a member of BOM as a program and communication assistant. A Kahoot quiz that she prepared helped participants consolidate their grasp of Luong Van Can Fund’s activities. Before leaving the session, all students took part in the teamwork activity, conducted by the Board of directors of Luong Van Can Club. 

On the morning of Sunday 10/10/2021, the Orientation Day for new students, awarded Luong Van Can Scholarship in, the academic year 2021-2022, took place. Besides briefing them on Luong Van Can Fund’s regulations and activities, Ms Thai Ho Thien Thanh, on behalf of Luong Van Can BoM, went through essential administrative procedures for new members. 

This academic year marks the transformation of both Vietnam and Luong Van Can Fund students. The challenges can serve as opportunities for Luong Van Can Fund students to attain personal growth. Luong Van Can Fund is committed to a spirit of innovation and proactivity that effects change in both individuals and the community.
