Luong Van Can Fund held “Business Etiquette” Training Session

There is a saying that goes, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression”. In other words, our performance in the first meeting is very important as people may reply on it to form an initial judgement about how we are.

Despite a number of sophisticated rules required, personal charisma and business-like manners can be built through practice. From that fact, on the morning of December 1st, 2019, LVC Fund organized a training session in matters of business etiquette with the attendance of more than 50 students recorded. Ms. Vu Tran Nhat Mai, GoBear’s Business Development Director and former Mentor of the Fund, was invited as the instructor.

With many years of experience in dealing with customers, Ms. Mai has gained an insight into the most fundamental and necessary rules of communication etiquette, such as what to wear, how to use perfume, and how to shake hands properly, which appeared comparatively new to the participants.

Ms. My Ha shared excitedly, “Before attending this session, I didn’t know that proper ways of shaking hands need such a great deal of skills. Thanks to the speaker’s delivery, I learn greetings and self-introduction should be considered the first step. Then, we should hold other’s hands in our palm, not too loosely nor too tightly. We can shake hands 3 times to the most and keep eye-contact to show our friendliness and professionalism. During the training time, we also had a chance to carry the newly learnt theories into practice so that they are stored in our long-term memory”.

Noticeably, a great interest was aroused when it came to the practice of choosing outfits appropriate to particular situations and the hottest catwalk show ever performed by some LVC-ers with direct and detailed guidance from Ms. Mai. Through the training, participating students have been equipped with applicable tips to become well-mannered and professional both in daily life and at work.
